Inspired by the underwater aesthetics of Avatar: The Way of Water, we developed this project entirely within Houdini as a deep dive into fluid dynamics and high-fidelity cinematography. The core challenge was solving the transition between surface impact and underwater turbulence using the FLIP solver.

A key objective was achieving believable physical behavior across the entire scene, from large water displacement to subtle secondary motion
